COSTA RICA > Wild Sun Rescue Centre has a nine month long volunteer position for a wildlife rehabilitation assistant. Apply by February 14. They also want someone for nine months on their ongoing Scarlet Macaw Reintroduction Project.
⭐️Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort Jobs
AUSTRALIA > At the moment, the vacancies on Mt Baw Baw’s careers page mostly concern downhill mountain biking, but we expect the closest ski and snow resort to Melbourne will soon start filling up with ski positions for work from June to October. They’ve had people from Melbourne, France, Chile, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the UK taking up work at George’s Ski Hire, a busy rental and retail store 25 metres from the base chairlift in Mt Buller Alpine Village.
⭐️Birdsville Tourist Park Is Hiring For The 2026 Season
AUSTRALIA > Queensland’s Birdville Tourist Park is signing off on the second and third year visas of energetic all rounders (private group) who join them from March until late September, a period that covers the Birdsville Races (known as the “Melbourne Cup of the Outback,” according to Google’s tame AI). Free accommodation is included with the salary. Volunteers can also get free admission to the races in September.
⭐️Summer Baristas Needed And Social Media Sorted In Zakynthos
GREECE > Peligoni Club in Zakynthos opened their vacancies for this year back in December. We would guess they’ve already got someone doing their social media since every few days someone’s on it, highlighting one of their other positions. One that recently caught our attention was for baristas.

CANADA > Camp Wahanowin on Lake Couchiching near Orillia is hiring counsellors, specialists and support staff for summer 2026. They welcome applications from international staff.
⭐️Brave Island Heritage Work Experience Placement
UK > Our eyes lit up when we saw the the words “Ranger Placement: Gain paid, hands-on experience working as part of a ranger team for those aged 18-25, supporting conservation, access and visitor management across a protected landscape” in the latest issue of The Wild Path. Glancing furtively left and right to check no one was looking, we slipped the six month opportunity hosted by The National Trust on the Isle of Wight into this extra issue of JAB.
⭐️Experience Teaching In A Spanish School
SPAIN > Applications for The North American Language and Cultural Assistant Program (NALCAP) for 2026/27 were expected to have opened in January, but still hadn’t when we looked before the weekend. English Language Assistant (ELA) positions at UCETAM affiliated schools in and around Madrid are open, though. All candidates must be native English speakers, have experience with children, hold a university degree, have a clean criminal record, and have a valid TIE card or EU passport.
⭐️Summer Camp Counsellor Internship Programme For American College Athletes And Cheerleaders
JAPAN > Applications have opened for SCOA’s 2026 intake of counsellors to head to Japan for five weeks for a cultural exchange with Japanese students. Starting in mid July, this is an unpaid internship, but includes airfare, food and lodging covered, and also accommodation while sightseeing in Tokyo. It is open to US college students and recent graduates who have participated in a team sport and are native level English speakers. At least one counsellor with a cheer and dance background is selected because cheer dance is a camp activity.
⭐️Help Festival Goers And Help Children And Mothers In Kenya
UK & IRELAND > Charity Concierge raise tens of thousands of pounds for Child.org at each festival they provide their concierges. Volunteer with them, and you could be driving golf buggies or providing drinks services to festival goers. Present at festivals including Latitude and Wilderness in the UK, and Electric Picnic in Ireland, volunteer slots are filling up fast.

⭐️The Teaching Assistant Program In France Closes This Month For Canadians
FRANCE > The chance to work seven months teaching English in schools in France, including in overseas departments such as French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique and La Réunion, over the 2026-2027 academic year closes for Canadians on February 27.

UK CHANNEL ISLANDS > The Georgian House & The Moorings are looking for experienced FOH managers and supervisors to join them for the 2026 summer season (and beyond). You must have the right to live and work in the UK.

WORLDWIDE > Wilderness Adventures began their recruitment of enthusiastic trip leaders some months ago, but based on previous hiring cycles, we’d expect them to have some vacancies still to fill until the end of the month.

UK > Loch Insh Outdoor Centre sits in the foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains. For the upcoming season, they have roles in housekeeping, front of house, kitchen, reception, and activities. Live-in accommodation options are available.
⭐️Help Set Up And Dismantle A Buddhist Festival
UK > Buddhafield is a UK-based charity hosting one day events, meditation retreats, a vegan café, and online programmes rooted in Buddhist principles and ecologically and socially conscious living. They need help from volunteers to set up and dismantle their annual Buddhafield Festival, held in Somerset from July 15 to 19. Other areas needing help, and applications from performers and people holding workshops and movement sessions can be found here.
⭐️Whale Watching Guides
PORTUGAL > Lobosonda - Madeira Whalewatching, a whale-watching company that specialises in the responsible observation of cetaceans out at sea, is looking for enthusiastic guides. Applicants should be fluent in German and English, hold a relevant degree, and have a sailing license.
⭐️Applications For Artist Residencies From August To December 2026 Are Now Open
GERMANY > Twice a year, around 1000 professional artists working in the fields of dance, performance, media arts or music apply to the Pact Zollverein Residency Programme for studio space, accommodation locally, and a weekly grant allowance. Applications close February 23 for residencies from August to December.
