We recently spotted them looking to recruit people for their youth programme, which works with young refugees and asylum seekers in the Epirus region of Northern Greece. ⭐️Wild Sun Rescue Center Is Seeking A Programs Coordinator To Be Woken Daily By Howler Monkeys From December
COSTA RICA > Wild Sun Rescue Center works towards wildlife conservation along the Cabo Blanco Reserve area in the Nicoya Peninsula. Right now, they are hiring a programs coordinator (private group) to help run their educational and research programmes. A private room onsite and meals are provided, along with a US$600 stipend each month. Apply by November 10.

PERU > The Rainforest Awareness Rescue Education Center (RAREC) has two unpaid positions ensuring their wild animals have food and water, and clean enclosures. AUSTRALIA > Byron Jerky is looking for interesting people to join their production team in the hinterland of Byron Bay. The work is very entry level so it doesn’t require any relevant experience; all training will be given, but they ask for a good work ethic and an enthusiastic outlook. Own transport is preferred. They have regular weekly work and can accept more than one person if you are travelling with a friend. We don’t see any mention of the never ending beef snacks that they used to entice a digital marketing and content manager back in July, though.

They don’t need to get their applications in until December 2 and December 5. Nationals of some other countries may also have time yet to apply.

⭐️Join A Sea Turtle Research Team As A Data Analyst Team Leader
CYPRUS > Established in 2017 by the Cyprus Wildlife Research Institute (CWRI), the Cyprus Marinelife Center (CMC) is dedicated to the protection of marine and coastal ecosystems across Cyprus and the broader Levantine Basin. They will be hiring until November 17 two data analyst team leaders to work on the Karpaz Peninsula in summer 2026. This is a leadership and analytical position, ideal for those with a background in marine biology, ecology, environmental science, or related fields. Candidates should have experience with data handling and a passion for both research and fieldwork.
Volunteers without experience or qualifications can get involved by paying €40 per day towards meals and housing. This programme qualifies as a professional traineeship, so students can apply for Erasmus+ scholarships through their universities to cover the daily living fees. Cypriot applicants qualify for a local volunteer scholarship. Volunteers with ample previous sea turtle fieldwork experience applying to stay more than three months may also qualify for funding.

AUSTRALIA > Arcadia Beach Guest House has work for accommodation positions available for couples, friends or singles all year round on Magnetic Island, off the coast of Queensland. Accommodation plus breakfast daily, full use of amenities including a car, snorkel gear, paddle boards and kayaks, are offered in return for working three hours a day, six days a week.
However, one former volunteer, Joe B, reminds us that paradise isn’t always what it is cracked up to be, giving us his insight into the job. He ends his review by saying that Magnetic Island is beautiful, and if you think you can tolerate the ill treatment for the opportunity, then give it a try. Almost all other reviews, these from a customer’s perspective, across the last few years have been thoroughly negative too.
