| Chiang Rai, Thailand |
We know these emails are long but we want to send as many global vacancies to you as we can. Don’t forget to view the entire message if you are reading this via email. If you are not reading this by email, why not give it a go?👇

⭐️Unfilled Chalet Roles
EUROPE > Judged by the ads they’ve placed on recruitment websites, Skiworld needs a chalet host pair to work as a team to clean and provide breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meals to their guests. Purple Ski want a chalet assistant to fulfil a role that mostly involves driving. Minimal shopping and no budgeting duties or cooking are required here.
Hotel Chalet Matsuzaka, a ten bedroom chalet sytle 4 star hotel in the Les Eucherts area of La Rosière also wanted a chalet assistant as of a few days ago, plus a chalet chef/cook. Chalet Chardons might want some of them too in Tignes les Brevieres, as do Powder Byrne, but only for Christmas and the New Year in Arosa, Switzerland. Competing with them all on the chalet staff front is The Boutique Chalet Company, which wants an assistant chalet manager in Morzine. Their accounts and admin need doing too.
⭐️Resort Managers

⭐️We Found Kuala Lumpur Is A Good Place For Hostel Volunteering
MALAYSIA > It’s been a while since our first visit to Kuala Lumpur. While there, the owners of two of the four places we stayed in Kuala Lumpur indicated they were prepared to entertain a work exchange or had casual work going. One owner offered us a small sum if we were prepared to help clean out a space into which he was hoping to expand his premises.
At the time, the owners of both guest houses made it clear to us that when it came to landing work in exchange for room and board it was a case of being in the right place at the right time, preferring to recruit from the ranks of those staying with them. Since then, PODs, one of the places we stayed with has begun listing their work exchange requirements with the above mentioned Laulima Travels.
⭐️Small Boats Are Once Again Heading West
“STOP THEM, STOP THEM,” we hear Suella shrieking, but she can give her bitch face a rest - it’s not those small boats we are talking about here. These boats are sailing across the Atlantic to the Caribbean, an annual migration usually done between November and February.
As we wrote in April about the same boats going the other way, the owners of many of these boats will be looking for an extra pair of hands and eyes onboard. This is a great way for even those with minimal experience at sea to get a free sea passage - though a contribution towards expenses is often asked. Either check out websites like Findacrew.net or do it the old fashioned way by making your way to the Canary Islands - the choke point for the crossing - and asking captains directly.
⭐️Second Chef And Fluent French Speaking Hotel Receptionist

⭐️Volunteering In Ukraine
UKRAINE > Scott Richardson entered Ukraine with a cultural residency group sponsored by the EU and stuck around to help out as a volunteer. He writes about his experiences on his blog. For anyone wishing to do something similar, VolunteeringUkraine connects volunteers worldwide with meaningful opportunities in the country. ⭐️Scary Work For Halloween
UK > Equal opportunities legislation outlawing discrimination against women, ethnic minorities and the disabled has yet to be extended to the undead. This combined with the undermining of disability benefit claims by courtroom film evidence showing zombies running has led to increasing poverty in the supernatural class.
Fortunately, the Halloween holiday provides zombies, ghouls, ghosts, monsters and vampires with a few weeks of legitimate employment and a chance to vary an otherwise all brains or blood diet. Attractions all over the UK will be taking on short term seasonal staff for a couple of weeks leading up to October 31.
